Born
in Japan and now a resident of Rhode Island, my work has been exhibited extensively
in both one-person and group shows, including Newport Art Museum solo show,
By Virtue Of Excellence, Watercolor USA, Happy White Gallery, Jewish Community
Center in Providence and Greater New Haven, SoHo Galleries in New York City,
Kawakami Gallery in Tokyo, Yu-Art Gallery & H Art room Gallery in Nagano
Japan.
I have taught workshops at Brown Learning Community, Attleboro Museum, RI Watercolor
Society, Wickford Art Associations, Newport Museum and various schools in the
area.
In my watercolors and collages, I use color as the key element in abstract works.
Moved by scenes and simple objects surrounding me, I seek to assimilate and
transform them into colorful imagery.
My collage works are published in the book, "New Art International"
2001 and they have been used on the cover of "RI Health and Medicine Magazine."
A grateful recipient of top awards in international and national shows, I am
a member of the Watercolor USA Honor Society, New Haven Paints and Clay Club,
Penn Watercolor Society, RI Watercolor Society and 19 On Paper. I am also included
in 2004-2005 edition of Marquis Whos Who of American Women.
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy
creating it.
